The Smithsonian Institute has created a series of online exhibits that are definitely worth checking out. Here's one that's really fun -- an exhibit devoted to 500 years of food and eating in America. You'll find food lore, recipe trivia, and insights into the art and science of growing and making meals. You can even contribute your own family recipes and food stories. Here's Wendy Johnson-Niblick's recipe for Thanksgiving Jello Salad and story about inheriting her Grandma's recipe collection.
